The University of Western Australia

The University of Western Australia is also called UWA, and is located in Crawley, Western Australia, Australia. It has more than 19,000 students who earn credits in fields including Architecture, Music, Humanities, Social Studies, Engineering, Law, Physical Science and Medicine.

The university was founded in 1911, in buildings with corrugated iron roofs, until the campus was moved to Crawley in 1932. There are many scholarships offered, thanks to the benefactor, Sir John Winthrop Hackett. It is the oldest college in the western part of Australia.
