The University of Texas at Austin
The University of Texas at Austin is also called Texas or UT and is located in Austin, Texas, USA. They serve over 50,000 students, who enter into the fields of Engineering, Communication, Education, Fine Arts, Liberal Arts, Pharmacy, Geosciences, Law and Architecture.
UT at Austin was founded in 1883, the site being chosen as that for the main portion of the university. The college grew and expanded after this time. Oil was discovered on land that the university owned in 1923, and this gave the school more funding for growth. In World War II, UT was part of the V-12 Navy College Training Program.
